Moulan Rouge

Was a very captivating movie. The story was interesting and all, but what mostly got to me was the scenes of brilliant dancing and music. These scenes were so upbeat and overwhelming of the senses; i dont know if thats why i liked them so much, but i did.

LAUSD

I dont really think its fair to just go and fire teachers with less seniority, but i guess it has to be done. Budget cuts are inevitable now that we've gotten ourselves into such debt. Everybody is selfish and closeminded and unwilling to vote on bills that might actually help us. I hate politics. Every politician is bought out by some industry just to pass bills that favor that industry. Thus, no bills are passed to actually help us, only to benefit a select few. Like the bailout, it was only passed to pay the heads of banks, and now the banks wont tell us what the bailout money actually went to. Hopefully the stimulus will actually impove something.

Installation art is the use of sculptural materials and other interesting material to transform a space or, arguably, an area. Installation art is not necessarily confined to gallery spaces and can be any material intervention in everyday public or private spaces.

from Wikipedia:
Laurie Anderson (born Laura Phillips Anderson, on June 5, 1947, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois) is an American experimental performance artistand musician who plays violin and keyboards and sings in a variety of experimental music and art rock styles. Initially trained as a sculptor, Anderson did her first performance-art piece in the late 1960s
